October 19, 2018: Literary Paths

I’m really liking ‘Daughters of the Lake’ so far. Wendy Webb loves going into a historical account of the characters involved in her plotlines. It’s very helpful for me, since I feel like it helps build tension for the pending drama that’s sure to take place.

I enjoy exploring many book blogging sites. Since I love to read and write, my ultimate goal is to begin a page if my own. Poetry also holds a strong place in my heart, and I want to express that devotion through the content I post on a daily basis.

October 18, 2018: Great Pumpkin

I watched ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’. It was exciting to catch the show after a busy day at work.

I enjoy Halloween so much! This year it falls on the middle of the week, but there’s still a chance to wear a costume the weekend before the special holiday. I still have my costumes from the past couple years, and it will be fun to wear them soon.

Looking forward to Saturday, since we’re going pumpkin picking! It’s so exciting to search for your own pumpkin, and decorating it when you get home. It’s a great bonding time between Andy and I also.

October 17, 2018: Shifting to Autumn

When Autumn truly arrives, it’s memorable. It reminds you of this change the second you walk outside, and the wind cuts through the fabric of your clothes. You remember the change every evening, when the sun slips into the horizon a couple minutes earlier.

It brings out special celebrations; people dressing up for Halloween, families coming together for holiday blessings and cheer. Autumn also begins the period of reflection. As people head indoors to retreat from the cooling air, many tend to gather their thoughts and plans for the future months. They plan and prepare for the moment when nature awakens once more, and the need to explore is enlivened once more.

October 16, 2018: Snoopy in the Halloween Spirit

I enjoy taking photos of my Itty Bitty Peanuts collection. They hold a special place in my heart. Ever since I was a little girl I enjoyed everything about Peanuts. I owned many books on the series, and watched every show about the Peanuts characters whenever they came on television.

When Hallmark came out with their Itty Bitty Snoopy collection three years ago, I purchased one right away. Having a little Snoopy with me wherever I went was exciting. I began carrying little Snoopy everywhere, taking pictures of his adventures.

Over time other mini Snoopys came out in Hallmark, and I added to my collection. Now, every season has a Snoopy for me to bring out, along with the original Snoopy I brought home with me 3 years ago.

The picture shown is Snoopy in different Halloween forms, along with the other characters dressed in Halloween costumes. It’s a great shot of the Halloween Peanuts characters, as it shows the spirit of Autumn.

October 15, 2018: Reading

Every evening I try to make a point to do some reading. I really want to reconnect with my literary side, so I’m working hard to maintain some amount of reading each day. I began reading ‘Daughters of the Lake’. I’m only on Chapter Four, but it’s a pretty good read so far. I’m hopeful to finish the book by the end of the month. Work has been very long and tiring, and I’m realizing that the need to keep up with my passions is vitally important.

October 14, 2018: Pumpkins and Walking Dead

Today I relaxed and worked on my classroom pumpkin. At work we were each given a pumpkin to decorate by the end of the week, so since I’m always busy doing a million things at work, I took care of it here at home. I chose a sinple outline: a cat gazing up at a full moon. I always love pumpkin carving. After the initial cut around the pumpkin’s center, it’s simple after that.

Andy and I also watched The Walking Dead. I love the story, but the comic is much more enjoyable than the show. So many characters have taken different routes on the television version, with some main people making their departures soon. I’m not sure what’s going to happen as the season progresses. It’s nice to see the interracial romances taking place on the show though.

October 13, 2018: Saturday in Piscataway

It’s been a busy Saturday. This morning Andy and I attended the second half of our Pre-Cana requirement. It was extremely early to be awake, and on a Saturday, but it covered topics that centered around growing the fruits of a happy marriage. I’m very happy that we attended.

We then went to Hallmark, to check if there were any Halloween mystery bag Peanuts characters available, but they were sold out. I’m hoping that they’re around at other Hallmark locations near me, since I only need one more character to complete my collection. It’s not even guarenteed that I would get the one character I need, since you don’t know until you open the bag. It doesn’t hurt to keep looking!
